The Stevens Square Gymnasium is home to one of the nicest courts in Portland, Maine with plenty of free parking, air conditioning and a sound system. And there’s a lot more going on than basketball. It accommodates a regulation volleyball court and three pickleball courts. It’s home to a host of recreational and cultural programs and is available for private rental.

 

Maine Sports Group

The Gymnasium is overseen by the Maine Sports Group, a non-profit organization providing opportunities for youth sports skills development and scholarships for families unable to afford fee-based sports programs. 

 

Maine Basketball Academy

The Maine Sports Group operates the Maine Basketball Academy here. Its year-round programs teach the fundamentals of basketball and instill confidence in young athletes with clinics, leagues, AAU teams and travel basketball through the Blue Wave Basketball brand.

 

Portland Pickleball

Portland Pickleball provides a fun way for co-ed adults to easily make friends and enjoy pickleball in a low-pressure atmosphere. Players from beginners to advanced can learn and play America’s fastest-growing sport.

 

Gymnasium Rentals
